That was the message Wednesday morning for Floridians still prepared to defy orders to evacuate ahead of the landfall of Hurricane Milton as officials warned stay-behinds they face grim survival odds. Bumper-to-bumper traffic still chokes roads leading out of Tampa as some 17 percent of Florida’s nearly 8,000 gas stations had run out of fuel, according to fuel markets tracker GasBuddy. The gridlock is so bad from the evacuations in these areas, such as I-75, that the state is opening the shoulders for vehicles to use. AP reports the Tampa Bay area, home to more than 3.3 million people, faced the possibility of widespread destruction after avoiding direct hits from major hurricanes for upwards of 100 years. By Simon Kent | Breitbart Hurricane Milton is closing on Florida’s west coast with landfall expected as a Category 4 hurricane Wednesday night or early Thursday morning as a mass exodus continues. The extreme weather event will arrive as Floridians still work to recover from the devastation unleashed by Hurricane Helene’s impact 12 days ago. AP reports almost the entirety of Florida’s west coast was under a hurricane warning early Tuesday as the storm and its 155 mph winds crept toward the state at nine mph, drawing energy from the Gulf of Mexico’s warm water. NBC News reported on Thursday that 194 people lost their lives amid the destruction the storm brought, with over half of the deaths occurring in North Carolina. “Hundreds are still missing and officials have reported difficulties in identifying some of the dead,” the outlet said. Tim Walz (D) during Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate. At least, that is the opinion of those polled immediately after the showdown by CBS News, which hosted the forum. According to the CBS poll as seen by the Hill, 42 percent of debate watchers say Vance, a Yale-trained lawyer, won the debate. Walz trails closely behind with 41 percent of viewers saying he was victorious. About 17 percent said it was a tie. Tim Walz. In a letter accompanying the subpoena released on Thursday, Comer said the House Oversight and Accountability Committee received information from a whistleblower about “serious concern among Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel regarding a longstanding connection between” Tim Walz and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
