HBCU activist praises ‘Big T’ Donald Trump for ‘saving my college’ at Atlanta rally

By Fox News, via New York Post A Georgia activist stole the show after being introduced by former President Trump at his rally in Atlanta Saturday. Trump invited Michaelah Montgomery up on stage toward the end of his speech at the Georgia State University Convocation Center. He introduced Montgomery by explaining he met her at a restaurant this year. Trump said Montgomery, who attended Clark Atlanta University, had recognized him in public and commended him for funding historically Black colleges and universities. “She looks at me, says ‘It’s President Trump. You saved my college.’ And I said, ‘How the hell do you know that?’ … This one is so smart, so sharp,” Trump recalled. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

‘I just say: Be careful’: Justice Neil Gorsuch of Colorado says of Biden’s Supreme Court proposals

By Josh Gerstein | Politico Justice Neil Gorsuch is pushing back against President Joe Biden’s recent proposals to restructure the Supreme Court. “I just say: Be careful,” Gorsuch warned in an interview that aired on “Fox News Sunday.” Less than a week after Biden announced he was reversing course and supporting 18-year term limits for justices and legislation to create a binding ethics code for the high court, the first of President Donald Trump’s three Supreme Court appointees encouraged Americans to think long and hard before taking steps that might undermine the independence of the judicial system. With long history of pushing DEI, woke initiatives, what policies would Kamala Harris pursue as President?

By Jon Levine | New York Post Vice President Harris has cheered Diversity Equity and Inclusion and array of woke social-justice initiatives throughout her political career — raising new questions about the domestic policies she would pursue should she be elected president, critics told The Post. The daughter of radical Marxist economist Donald Harris has never hidden her own left-wing ideology. Just days before the 2020 election, she re-upped her DEI chops, sharing an X post of a video explaining the difference between “equality and equity” — and why the latter, guaranteeing equal outcomes, was superior. The video shows black and white mountain climbers struggling up a mountain until the ground under the black climber magically rises higher. READ THE FULL STORY A...

No voters, no debates — no problem: Party delegates go online to make Kamala Harris the nominee

By Susan Ferrechio | The Washington Times  Vice President Kamala Harris won the Democratic nomination for president without a single primary vote and just 15 days after entering the race, a historic political feat that has Republicans scrambling to reset their bid to win in November. Ms. Harris secured the Democratic presidential nomination Friday after thousands of party delegates took part in an unusual online vote that allowed them to lock her in at the top of their ticket weeks before the party’s national convention begins later this month. “I am so proud to confirm that Vice President Harris has earned more than a majority of votes from all convention delegates and will be the nominee of the Democratic Party following the close of voting on Monday,” Democr...

Kamala Harris ‘a bad vice president’ and ‘a worse president’: J.D. Vance defines his messaging role in race

By Jared Mitovich | Politico J.D. Vance has been trying out different responses to the wave of scrutiny he’s faced since becoming Donald Trump’s running mate. Now, he’s downplaying his own relevance to the election entirely. “My attitude is, it doesn’t really matter, as much as this hits my ego,” Vance said in an interview on the “FULL SEND PODCAST” released Friday. “People are going to vote primarily for Donald Trump or for Kamala Harris. That’s the way these things go. I think my job over the next few months is to just drive home the message that Kamala Harris has been a bad vice president, and she’d be a worse president.” READ THE FULL STORY AT POLITICO

Ganahl: Trump’s Got This

By Heidi Ganahl | Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice Conservatives have awakened to a new political landscape, and it's becoming clear that Trump is the leader they need to navigate through it. Kamala Harris, having avoided the rigorous process of a primary, has emerged seemingly unscathed and well-prepared. However, Trump's campaign is far from being blindsided. Instead, they are rallying with a renewed vigor, ready to showcase the stark differences between Harris's radical agenda and Trump's vision for America. Harris has closed the gap with Trump in some polls -- likely due to the sigh of relief of Democrats after dumping sickly Biden -- but this is only the beginning of the battle. Trump's supporters and campaign team are determined not to let this initial surge of Harris's popu...

Guida: How J.D. Vance brought the Culture War to helping kids

By Victoria Guida | Politico Vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance says people without kids should pay higher taxes. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat, says we need to fight child poverty. Sen. Mitt Romney, a onetime Republican presidential nominee, says we need to support marriage and families as core pillars of society. It might not sound like it, but they’re all describing versions of the same policy, refracted through a culture war. Sullivan: Stop laying around and get off the couch

By Michael Quinn Sullivan | Commentary, Texas Scorecard Scripture is full of stories about paralyzed and lame individuals being healed, but one story has always stood out for me. That’s because it seems so cruel. On the surface, what Jesus said to a lame man lying near the Bethesda pool in Jerusalem was mean. He asked, “Do you want to be healed?” Let me back up. Myth had it that when an angel disturbed the waters of the Bethesda pool, the first person to touch the water would be healed of their malady. Invalids—the blind, the paralyzed, and otherwise lame—would gather there in hopes of being the first one into the water. So, yes, Jesus; of course, the man wanted to be healed. Except… we all know people who don’t. READ THE FULL COMMENTARY AT TEXAS SCORECARD Editor's no...

Build the wall: Texas wins lawsuit forcing Biden-Harris Admin to continue border wall construction

By Luca Cacciatore | Texas Scorecard Texas has won a major lawsuit against the Biden-Harris administration, forcing them to continue constructing the wall on the southern border. In a Thursday press release, the attorney general’s office revealed the court found on Monday that the White House unlawfully sought to prevent congressionally approved funds from being used for the border. “This is a final victory against Biden’s attempt to defund the border wall,” stated Attorney General Ken Paxton. “His Administration illegally sought to prevent the construction of the border wall and illegally attempted to repurpose the money allocated for American safety and sovereignty, working instead to keep the border open. Stossel: What RFK Jr. says about government spending and debt

By John Stossel  | The Daily Signal Robert F. Kennedy Jr. won applause at the Libertarian presidential convention in May by criticizing government lockdowns and deficit spending, and saying America shouldn’t police the world. It made me want to interview him. Earlier this month, I did. Kennedy, an independent candidate for president, says intelligent things about America’s growing debt.
