The View hosts issue four legal notes in one broadcast

By  Haley Strack | National Review The New York Post had a great piece on Saturday counting the number of times that The View‘s hosts, during Friday’s broadcast, had to issue legal notes when discussing President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees. After discussing sexual assault allegations against onetime attorney general nominee Matt Gaetz (who dropped out of the running last week) and defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth, show producers made host and former prosecutor Sunny Hostin read aloud legal notes. “I have a legal note,” she said. “Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations and has not been charged with any crime.” READ THE FULL STORY AT NATIONAL REVIEW

By Harold Hutchison | Daily Caller Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa sent Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) co-chairs Tesla CEO Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy a letter Monday with ideas for cuts that could save the federal government over $2 trillion. Trump named Musk and Ramaswamy as co-chairs of DOGE on Nov. 12. In the seven-page letter, Ernst’s suggestions ranged from addressing unused space in buildings to uncommitted spending for COVID relief, with the proposed cuts totaling over $2 trillion. Ernst has focused on government waste since her election to the United States Senate in 2014, with a recent focus on the effects of telework and remote work on federal agencies. Egg Shortage and Price Increase Hit U.S. amid Holiday Season

By Amy Furr | Breitbart Americans may find it hard to get eggs this holiday season because of bird flu outbreaks and the economy. There has been a shortage of eggs in some stores across the nation, CBS News reported on Friday, noting the businesses in states that require eggs from cage-free hens have been affected by Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). “More than 40% of the nation’s roughly 300 million egg-laying hens are raised in cage-free facilities, but roughly 60% of ‘bird flu’ cases recently detected involved cage-free farms,” the report continued. There have been outbreaks recently in Utah, Oregon, California, and Washington, per Emily Metz, who is the chief executive and president of the American Egg Board. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

As more Americans warm to Trump, voters shifting to GOP, away from Dems, Pew survey says

By Stephen Dinan | The Washington Times Americans are warmer to President-elect Donald Trump now than they were in 2016 and 2020, according to a new poll that found they believe he’ll steer the economy correctly as he takes office. The Pew Research Center polled nearly 10,000 people after the election and said most expect him to make good decisions about the economy, crime issues, immigration and foreign policy, though they’re less enthused about his ability to unify the country. Some 43% said they have a warm feeling toward Mr. Trump, which while less than a majority is still better than 2016, when 36% felt that way toward him, and 2020, when that was just 34%.
