By diverting $641M to migrants, Mayorkas admits FEMA funds won’t last through hurricane season

By Thomas Stevenson | The Post Millennial If you want to know how hostile the global elite are to free speech, look no further than John Kerry’s recent speech to the World Economic Forum. Rather than extol the benefits of democratic liberty versus dictatorships and oligarchs, Kerry called the First Amendment a “major block” to keeping people from believing the “wrong” things. The former secretary of state and aide to the Biden-Harris administration told the sympathetic audience: “You know, there’s a lot of discussion now about how you curb those entities in order to guarantee that you’re going to have some accountability on facts, etc. But look, if people only go to one source, and the source they go to is sick, and, you know, has an agenda, and they’re putting out ...

Federal prosecutors urge indefinite delay in second Trump assassination attempt case

By Misty Severi | Just The News Federal prosecutors on Wednesday requested the trial of former President Donald Trump's suspected shooter Ryan Wesley Routh be indefinitely delayed, because of a massive amount of evidence they've uncovered in the past two weeks. Routh allegedly attempted to assassinate Trump last month at his resort in Florida, but the plot was foiled by Secret Service agents. Routh has been charged with attempted assassination, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, and assaulting a federal officer. He has pleaded not guilty. The prosecutors argued in a court filing on Wednesday that new details in the case have emerged, which have resulted in more than 100 outstanding subpoena returns, thousands of videos to review, and the sei...

Jack Smith lays out 2020 election case against Trump in newly unsealed filing

By Kaelan Deese | Washington Examiner Special counsel Jack Smith on Wednesday provided additional details on former President Donald Trump’s alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, offering a plan to disprove what he called Trump’s “false claims” about election fraud and fight against the Supreme Court’s immunity decision. The 165-page motion, unsealed Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, includes new revelations about plans by a Trump campaign employee and alleged co-conspirator to incite chaos at a ballot-processing center in Detroit. According to one section of the lengthy filing, a 2020 Trump campaign employee allegedly aimed to disrupt operations at Detroit’s TCF Center, a key site for vote counting in Michigan. Griswold: If Kamala has such great plans, why hasn’t she implemented them?

By Kylee Griswold | Commentary, The Federalist Kamala Harris has been VP for three and a half years, and her policies have only exacerbated Americans’ biggest problems. Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz spent an awful lot of time during Tuesday’s vice presidential debate talking about what he and Kamala Harris would do on “day one” and beyond if Americans (and Big Tech oligarchs) elect them this November. The problem? As Sen. J.D Vance, R-Ohio, pointed out, Kamala Harris’ “day one” was nearly 1,400 days ago. If Harris wants to help struggling Americans, why hasn’t she? She does hold the second-highest office in the land, after all. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE FEDERALIST Editor’s note: Opinions expressed in commentary pieces are those of the author and do not nece...

Harris’ migration pushes up housing costs, crowds schools and fills hospitals, J.D. Vance says in debate

By Neil Munro  | Breitbart The mass migration supported by Kamala Harris crowds American schools, fills hospitals, and drives up the cost of family housing, Sen. JD Vance told the viewers watching CBS News’s vice presidential debate. “The people that I’m most worried about in Springfield, Ohio, are the American citizens who have had their lives destroyed by Kamala Harris’s open border,” he said, before turning to the Democratic candidate, Tim Walz. "It is a disgrace. Tim [Walz], and I actually think I agree with you. I think you want to solve this problem, but I don’t think that Kamala Harris does." READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

‘Harris is engaged in censorship on an industrial scale,’ Vance says

By Breccan F. Thies | The Federalist The Republican vice presidential hopeful slammed his Democrat opponents for trying to rig the election by cracking down on Americans’ free speech. Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, called out Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., for wanting to implement a mass censorship regime, blocking Americans from practicing their First Amendment rights. “I believe we actually do have a threat to democracy in this country. Unfortunately, it’s not the threat to democracy that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz want to talk about. It is the threat of censorship,” Vance said at Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate. “It’s Kamala Harris saying that rather than debating and persuading fellow Americans, she would like to censor people who engage in misinfo...

Lott: New data on migrant crime rates raises eyebrows, alarms

By John R Lott Jr., Commentary  | Daily Signal The new data on all the criminal noncitizens coming into the U.S. is shocking. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement checks the background of illegal aliens it has in custody. But the ICE administration’s letter to Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, shows that as of July 21, ICE let 435,719 convicted criminals and 226,847 people with pending criminal charges back in their home countries into the U.S. Of those cleared by ICE, 13,099 have convictions for homicide, and 1,845 were facing criminal charges. Some 9,461 have convictions for sex offenses (not including assault or commercialized sex), and 2,659 face pending charges. The convictions include other crimes, such as assault (62,231), robbery...

Israel bans ‘undesirable’ United Nations Sec. Gen. Guterres from entering the country

By Seb Starcevic | Politico Israel declared the United Nations chief “undesirable” Wednesday, prohibiting him from entering the country. “I decided today to declare U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres an undesirable personality in Israel and to ban his entry into Israel,” Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced on social media. Guterres failed to “unequivocally condemn Iran’s criminal attack on Israel” on Tuesday, Katz said, and as a result “does not deserve to set foot on Israel’s soil.” READ THE FULL STORY AT POLITICO

J.D. Vance tops Tim Walz in CBS post-debate exit polling, but 17% say it was a tie

By Breck Dumas  | Breitbart Sen. J.D. Vance’s (R-OH) regard for the facts appeared to help him outperform the sugar-coated whimsy of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) during Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate. At least, that is the opinion of those polled immediately after the showdown by CBS News, which hosted the forum. According to the CBS poll as seen by the Hill, 42 percent of debate watchers say Vance, a Yale-trained lawyer, won the debate. Walz trails closely behind with 41 percent of viewers saying he was victorious. About 17 percent said it was a tie. Nearly all, 88 percent, of debate viewers said the Vance-Walz face-off was generally positive, while 12 percent said it was generally negative, the survey showed. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART...
