Colorado’s 3rd District moved to ‘likely Republican’ by Cook Political

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Colorado's 3rd District on the Western Slope is one of eight nationally to have received a ratings change from Cook Political. The seat is presently held by U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, but is an open seat in the general election as Boebert vies for election in the 4th District. Democrat Adam Frisch and Republican Jeff Hurd are their parties' nominations for the 3rd District seat. Cook Political moved the seat from lean Republican to likely Republican, improving the chance Republicans will hold the seat in November. “Nothing is going right for Adam Frisch," said National Republican Congressional Committee spokeswoman Delanie Bomar. "While Frisch is floundering, momentum is on our side as Republicans are all hands on deck to send Jeff Hurd to ...

In Boulder, ballot measure seeking to close airport withdrawn amid FAA lawsuit to keep it open

By Tim Drugan | Boulder Reporting Lab Boulder’s 2024 local election just became much less contentious. Organizers with the ballot measure committee Airport Neighborhood Campaign announced Aug. 27 that they have withdrawn their controversial measure to decommission the Boulder Municipal Airport from the November ballot. A separate but related measure to redevelop the land into affordable housing, which had also qualified for the ballot, is also being withdrawn. It would have been the first time in the airport’s nearly 100-year history that voters decided whether to close the municipal airport. The measures were shaping up to be the most controversial local issues of this election season. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE BOULDER REPORTING LAB

Gray: The desperation at the heart of the Harris candidacy

By Freddy Gray, commentary | The Spectator She has been shamelessly presented to America and the world as an agent of change, even though she has no clear vision or agenda of her own. Barack Obama wrote The Audacity of Hope. The Kamala Harris story of 2024 could be called The Audacity of Desperation. Her brief candidacy has been an awesome display of chutzpah. With just weeks to go before the election, a panicked Democratic Party pushed aside their failing commander-in-chief and replaced him with Harris, the distinctly unpopular vice-president. Trump predicts ‘1929-style depression’ if Kamala wins

By Jeff Poor | Breitbart Wednesday, during a town hall event that aired on FNC’s “Hannity,” former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for president, warned viewers about a repeat of the 1929 Great Depression if Vice President Kamala Harris, his Democrat opponent, wins. Partial transcript as follows: HANNITY: Here’s my point. She wants to raise corporate taxes, she wants to raise small business taxes, capital gain taxes, estate taxes, the international corporate minimum tax to the point where America won’t be competitive anymore and your tax cuts are about to expire in 2025. TRUMP: Yeah. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

Biden admin revives Russian election interference bogeyman just in time for November

By Reagan Reese | Daily Caller President Joe Biden’s administration launched new accusations of election interference at Russia nine weeks before the 2024 election. The Department of Justice alleged Wednesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered several Russian companies to target Americans through the use of influencers and social media pages to spread propaganda and interfere with the election in a campaign titled “Doppelganger.” As a result of the indictment, the DOJ is charging two Russian-based employees of RT, a Russian state-controlled media outlet, with “conspiring to commit money laundering and to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act,” according to a press release. Rogan: Kamala Harris’s plan for economic failure

By James Rogan | Washington Examiner Today’s left-wing Democrats are yesterday’s Marxists. Judged by their policy proposals, Vice President Kamala Harris and the left wing of the Democratic Party plainly do not believe in capitalism. They do not believe in striving. They do not believe that society should be meritocratic. As with the Marxists of the last century, they believe in equality regardless of the reality that all human beings are unique. Some humans are geniuses but most are not. Some are great athletes, but most are not. Regardless of mental, physical, or artistic talent, however, the Left argues that we should all be equal. They swear fealty to that old Marxist principle: from each according to his or her ability, to each according to his or her...

Jared Polis termed the alleged gang infiltration of an apartment complex in Aurora "imagination" and his allies alleged it to be right-wing conspiracy, John Fabbricatore acted. He confirmed activity of the violent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua in Aurora and his X/Twitter account became a tip line. “I am greatly concerned about the uptick in crime, gang presence and flood of fentanyl acrossour borders," Fabbricatore said. "The Biden-Harris administration has allowed floods of unvetted illegal migrants to cross our borders." The former regional director of ICE and the Republican nominee in Colorado's 6th District for the U.S. House will be joined Thursday by U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colorado, and U.S. Rep. Chip ...

Democrats want to keep the U.S. border wide open as an electoral strategy

By John Daniel Davidson | The Federalist If you want to know where Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democrats stand on the border and immigration, a recent exchange between former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Bill Maher tells the tale. Pelosi recently told Maher that she supports a California bill that would give illegal immigrants taxpayer money to buy homes. Maher quipped that Democrats didn’t used to support “free housing” for illegal immigrants, and Pelosi replied, “Well, that’s not free housing. It’s the American Dream being available to more people.” When Maher noted that the California bill would make the American Dream available for the “undocumented,” Pelosi said, “Well, what I would like to do is move them to documented.” READ MORE AT THE FEDERALIST...
